Levine, Gary 2016Gary Levine of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, was elected to a two-year term as a Trustee of Kiwanis International in May 2016 at the Eastern Canada and the Caribbean District convention in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada by delegates from his district.

Gary is a George F. Hixson Fellow, Walter Zeller Fellow and a Centennial Award recipient for The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus. He is also a Mel Osborne and Diamond Mel Osborne Fellow.

Gary served as the Eastern Canada and the Caribbean District Governor in the 2009-10 administrative year. He was Lieutenant Governor from 2003-04 and 2004-05. Gary is also a Distinguished President of the Owen Sound club where he has been a member since 1990. He recently served as Formula Chair for E.C.&C. from 2013-16.

Gary studied at the University of Winnipeg, the University of Alberta and the Drama Centre in London, England. He served his community for many years as a City Councillor. He owns DocPC, a website creation and video production company. Gary has received the Children’s Broadcast Institute Award of Excellence, as well as the Canadian Cable Television Association Award of Excellence.

Gary and wife, Distinguished Secretary Julia, are proud first time grandparents. Outside of Kiwanis, he enjoys travel, golf, scuba diving and photography.
