John DeVilbiss

DeVibiss, John 2016John DeVilbiss of West Alexandria, Ohio, was elected to a three-year term as a trustee of Kiwanis International in June 2015 at the 100th Annual Kiwanis International Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

A member of the Kiwanis Club of West Alexandria for 49 years, with 48 years perfect attendance, John has served as club president and lieutenant governor.  In 2010-11, John was governor of the Ohio District. He has held many district and international positions, including District Treasurer, the Ohio District Foundation Board, and District Convention Chair (three conventions).

John is a Charter Walter Zeller Fellow, a George F. Hixson Fellow, Centennial Award recipient, and Tablet of Honor recipient.  In addition, he was inducted into the Ohio District Kiwanis "Hall of Fame."

After working in the financial industry, John is now an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) working with the West Alexandria EMS, MedPro, and Eldora Speedway.  In 2001, he was named West Alexandria Citizen of the Year, and in 2003 he was inducted into the Twin Valley South School Hall of Fame.

John and his wife, Wanda, a Kiwanis member, have been married 45 years. They have two children and six grandchildren.
