During anniversary week, attend an event where it all started: Detroit, Michigan. Kiwanis International and the Detroit No. 1 Club invite you to an exclusive celebration, starting with an evening dessert reception at the Detroit Historical Museum, on Friday, January 23, 2015. Immerse yourself in the early 20th century; you may even meet characters from the past… period attire optional. Attendance is limited to 400 guests, so get your ticket early. Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from the official hotel, the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.
On Saturday, January 24, the day begins with the Detroit No. 1 Club’s signature project: Adding Kiwanis stickers to books that are then donated to area schools and organizations. Volunteer for a shift
The afternoon is devoted to exploring Detroit
on your own, its casinos, Greek Town, the Detroit Auto Show and much more.
The evening is the official celebration session of Kiwanis’ 100 year anniversary at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, hosted by 2014–15 President John Button, with Kiwanis dignitaries and leaders from around the world. During the dinner event, we will celebrate our past and launch into the next century. Speaker Drew Dudley
will address the audience with his thoughts on leadership.
After dinner, take in entertainment to top off this historic evening. The band Fifty Amp Fuse
will transport you on a musical journey.
Attendees are free to travel on Sunday.
