Benjamin R. “Ben” Osterhout of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, was appointed to a three-year term as Kiwanis International Foundation trustee in October 2013.

A past president of the Kiwanis Club of Norlanco-Rheems, Ben currently serves on the Kiwanis International Foundation’s annual giving committee. Ben also is president of the Pennsylvania Kiwanis Foundation, a past lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania District Division 16 and a Charter Walter Zeller Fellow for The Eliminate Project, a US$110 million fundraising campaign to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. On the Elizabethtown College campus, Ben serves as the advisor to Circle K and the Class of 2018.

Ben brings expertise in marketing and fundraising to the Kiwanis International Foundation board. After earning a bachelor of science in business administration/marketing and accounting from Elizabethtown College, Ben began a career in higher education fundraising in 2005. As the associate director of the annual fund, he has managed the Elizabethtown College reunion giving efforts, class agents, matching gift program and online solicitations. He also works with the college’s Blue Jay Athletic Association and helps coordinate the annual Blue Jay Athletic Alumni Reunion. 

In his fundraising role, Ben provides the college’s fundraising team with data analysis to ascertain areas of potential growth. He has hands-on experience with volunteer management, data entry and creating print mail and email fundraising pieces.

Ben earned an MBA with an emphasis in marketing from The Pennsylvania State University.
