Book Fair Reading Certificates for High-Poverty Students

In a recent study, 92% of students indicated they are more likely to read a book cover-to-cover if they had input on the books they selected. A Scholastic Book Fair lets them do just that. It’s especially valuable for students from high-poverty schools. Book Fair Reading Certificates allow all students to choose books at no cost for their own home libraries. It’s a great way to give children equal access to self-selected books—and to teach them to value books by letting them select the books of their choice.

Other features and benefits:

  • A popular option for use in conjunction with the Kiwanis Reading Oasis Grand Opening
  • Scholastic’s 50% matching gifts to the school in the form of Scholastic Dollars, which are redeemed for books and educational materials
