Signature projects

Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis International club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Kiwanis members stage nearly 150,000 service projects, devote more than 6 million hours of service and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects.

Kiwanis clubs and Service Leadership Program clubs are encouraged to participate in the following Kiwanis program signature projects each year:

Kiwanis One Day
Kiwanis members work in their communities all year long. But for one day in April each year, the entire Kiwanis family of programs and Kiwanis clubs come together for a day of hands-on community service that is felt around the world.

Read Around the World
Kiwanis’ Read Around the World program focuses on sharing the joy of books with young children, from reading with them to providing books they can have for their very own.

Young Children Priority One
Young Children Priority One (YCPO) is an ongoing community service program of Kiwanis International that addresses the needs of children ages 0-5.
