Kiwanians read to children around the world

Set for February 1 through March 3, Read Around the World is a time to celebrate the joys of reading. Thousands of Kiwanis-family clubs worldwide stage special projects and fundraisers during the month, all geared toward cultivating a love for reading among children.

The Kiwanis Club of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, for example, donates picture and story books, as well as other learning materials, to schools. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Rochester, read with students on a weekly basis when Minnesota’s winter temperatures are too cold for children to go outside for recess.
