Who says go to Hawaii? Past conventioners, that’s who

There are many reasons to attend the 90th Annual Kiwanis International Convention. For one, it’s in Honolulu! That’s Hawaii … tropical island, sand, surf, sun. Simply put: paradise. Enough said!

“More,” you ask?

Then heed the words of fellow Kiwanians who have attended previous conventions. In response to survey questions such as “What did you like most about the convention experience?” and “Why did you attend?” they answered:

•  “Great interaction opportunities with other clubs.”

•  “This was my first, and the most important things I brought back were many, many ideas shared by other Kiwanians. Thank you for the opportunity.”

•  “The International convention was where any Kiwanian would have wanted to be! I wanted to vote, volunteer, and enjoy the company of other Kiwanians.”

•  “I attended to represent my club and rejuvenate myself in the big picture.”

•  “I wanted to be part of the organization I believe in.”

•  “To visit Kiwanis friends and to participate in Kiwanis activities, (that) is why I attend the convention!”

•  “Attending the convention is a responsibility of membership.”

One final answer. When asked to state the main reason for attending an International convention, one attendee replied: “Because I wanted to.”
