Contests, anyone?

Most people enjoy a little friendly competition, and members of K-Kids, Builders Club, and Aktion Club are no exception. Annually, each program conducts a contest to find the best orators, writers, and designers.

K-Kids and Builders Club contest categories include speech, scrapbook, and essay, and Aktion Club contest categories include speech, scrapbook, and poster.

Contest entries are due to K-Kids, Builders Club, and Aktion Club district administrators by April 1. Overall district winners from each program’s contest categories are selected to move on for International judging. Overall International winning entries are used to promote the programs at Kiwanis-family conventions.

In addition, outstanding K-Kids and Builders Club leaders can be recognized through nomination for the Kiwanis International Foundation Leadership Award. Letters of recommendation and information about community-service involvement must be submitted for award consideration. One K-Kid and one Builders Club recipient from each district is selected for this honor and receives a US$200 savings bond and plaque.
