Trees’ company

Each week, the 16 members of the Kiwanis Club of Tagum, the Philippines, leave leafy legacies that will last far beyond their lifetimes: They plant trees. The club travels through its community every Sunday to plant seedlings and cultivate and care for trees they’ve planted. And no doubt, that’s what the Tagum Kiwanians will be doing March 20, 2005—which not only is a Sunday, but also International Earth Day.
