Help Circle K’ers land in Portland
Check the club coffers: It’s time for the annual Circle K International convention!
The 2007 convention, themed “Planting Seeds of Service,” is August 4-7 at the Red Lion on the River Hotel in Portland, Oregon.
Throughout the year, Kiwanians can support their sponsored Circle K club in the following ways:
-
Set aside funds to send Circle K’ers to the convention.
-
Assist Circle K’ers with their projects that raise funds for convention costs, or stage your own CKI convention fundraiser.
-
Finance members’ convention costs with the one-third plan: The Circle K’er pays one-third of the registration fee, his or her club pays one-third, and the sponsoring Kiwanis club pays one-third.
-
Keep Circle K members informed of registration deadlines and procedures and offer to help with this process. Also, Kiwanians are urged to assist Circle K clubs with Service Fair displays and any other projects for convention.
