For the second consecutive year, Kiwanis International has organized the 1-2-3 You Hold the Key program as an incentive for members to help reach the 1-million-member goal by January 21, 2015.
"The opportunities to change the world one child and one community at a time are endless when we welcome new Kiwanians into our club," notes a You Hold the Key promotional brochure. "Imagine a world with a million Kiwanians! We could rewrite the future."
It's as easy as 1-2-3:
- Recruit new members and earn entry into a random prize drawing.
- Recruit 1 new member and receive a bronze key lapel pin and one entry in the drawing.
- Recruit 2 new members and receive a silver key lapel pin and an additional entry in the drawing.
- Recruit 3 new members and receive a gold key lapel pin and a third entry in the drawing.
During the 2007 International Convention in San Antonio, Texas, winners' names will be drawn for two trips to the 2008 Convention in Orlando, Florida; a day with International President Nelson Tucker, and other prizes (see chart).
Entry forms, which are available from your club secretary, must be received at the Kiwanis International Office in Indianapolis by June 1, 2007. All new-member paperwork also must be completed, including membership-information forms, and the new-member fee must be remitted.
The random drawing is void in areas where local restrictions apply, and only members of clubs in good standing are eligible to win.
