A Photographer’s Guide

To KIWANIS Magazine

KIWANIS magazine is published six times per year: October, December, February, April, June, and August. All six issues are distributed in English to members in the United States and English-speaking Canada. Three of these issues—October, February, and June—are distributed in seven languages to all members worldwide. It is distributed to nearly 300,000 members of Kiwanis International worldwide. The members of Kiwanis clubs are business and professional men and women who are actively involved in community service.

Articles published in KIWANIS magazine generally are of two types: serious and light nonfiction. No fiction, anecdotes, short humor, or poetry is used. Articles range in length from 400 to 1,750 words.

Photographers should send a Web site address, résumé of stock photos, a brochure, a business card, and/or a flier to be kept on file for future assignments. We buy one-time rights.

B & W:  We use 5" x 7" and 8" x 10" glossy prints.

We also acept high resolution digital images.

Color: We use color prints or 35 mm, but prefer 2¼" x 2 ¼" and 4" x 5" transparencies.

Photographers receive a sample magazine upon completion.
