Eliane Ott-Scheffer

Eliane Ott-Scheffer, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Selestat Lazare Weiller in the France-Monaco District, was elected to a three-year term as the Kiwanis Europe Region representative on the Kiwanis International Board of Trustees. The election was June 5, 2021 during the Kiwanis International European Federation Convention, which was held online.
A resident of Alsace, Ott-Scheffer has been involved with Kiwanis for 15 years. Her home club is the Kiwanis Club of Selestat Lazare Weiller, where she has served as president and secretary. She also served as district governor in 2014-15, with the motto of “Commitment makes you happy.”
She is a former Kiwanis lieutenant governor and membership chair. She served on committees for The Eliminate Project from 2011 to 2021 and holds a Walter Zeller Fellowship. She also has received two Centennial Awards.
She hopes to guide Romania toward district status during her term as trustee and said she has a desire to know and share the Kiwanis life in other countries.
Ott-Scheffer is a drawing and music teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in paramedical and social professions and psychology. She has served as chairman of the Banking Board of Directors since 2010.
She and her husband, Edmond, have two children and five grandchildren. Her hobbies outside of Kiwanis include spending time with her family, walking and the arts, noting she practices oil painting
