Michael A. Mulhaul of Interlaken, New Jersey, was elected to the board of trustees of Kiwanis International during a special meeting held in lieu of the 2020 Kiwanis International Convention. Michael will serve a three-year term representing the United States and Canada regions of Kiwanis International.

Michael has been a Kiwanis member for 30 years and is part of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany, New Jersey. In the club, Michael has served as club president and treasurer. He has chaired the club’s Annual Grand Tasting, a fundraising event that has raised US$500,000 for autism and other worthy projects, since 2002. He is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Asbury Park and EOT (Eye of the Tiger) eKiwanis Club.

For the New Jersey District, he has been governor, lieutenant governor and membership chair. He has also served as president of the district’s foundation board and as the district coordinator for The Eliminate Project, a Kiwanis and UNICEF endeavor to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Within Kiwanis, Michael has received numerous awards and honors, including the George F. Hixson Fellowship and Diamond Level Walter Zeller Fellowship. He is also a member of the Tablet of Honor. He has received the district Kiwanian of the Year Award and the Carrington Swain Fellowship Award.

As a trustee, Michael hopes to make clear and measurable progress in growing membership and enhancing the Kiwanis experience.

Michael is employed as first vice president of investments Stifel Nicolaus & Company. He has worked in financial management for 38 years.

He and his wife Laura, who is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany, have three children. They reside in Interlaken, New Jersey.
