Filip Delanote
Koksijde, Belgium


Filip Delanote lives in Koksijde, Belgium and is currently the Kiwanis Children’s Fund (KCF) President-elect.  He served KCF starting October 1, 2017, in a three-year term as a KCF Trustee and last Kiwanis year as the KCF Treasurer.

As a Kiwanis member for 35 years, he has held various positions.  He was consecutive KCF Ambassador and European Vice Chairman for The Eliminate Project.

He was previously active in the Kiwanis International-European Federation (KI-EF) as President of Growth Sponsored Nations.  He also was a distinguished Lieutenant-Governor and distinguished Governor in the District Belgium-Luxembourg. 

As a club member, he started in the Kiwanis Club of Roeselare Rodenbach and then the Kiwanis Club of Torhout Houtland where he was not only the president but also secretary for several years and chairman of various club committees. 

In his passion for Kiwanis, he became a function-related member of the Kiwanis Clubs of Central London, United Kingdom (Acting chairman for the UK) and Aunay Vallee d'Odon, France. Recently, he became the charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Jabbeke "de vier winden" in Belgium.

Filip is a Diamond 12-level George F Hixson Fellow and a Diamond 6-level Walter Zeller Fellow.  He is also a life member, a recipient of the Centennial Award, a recipient of the KI Distinguished Service award for financial viability, and a member of the Founders Circle.

Filip has (retired since 2021) a Master's degree in Science of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy.

He is married to Ann and proud father of five children, two-plus children, and 13 grandchildren.
