Robert Maxwell of Topeka, Kansas, U.S., was appointed treasurer of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund in 2022. Maxwell had previously served as a Children’s Fund trustee since 2018.

Maxwell has served as lieutenant governor, district treasurer and governor in the Kansas District of Kiwanis. He also served two three-year terms as a Division 11 representative to the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation.

As a supporter of the Children’s Fund, Maxwell is a Diamond 2-level George F. Hixson Fellow, Charter Walter Zeller Fellow, Dr. Wil Blechman Fellow, Centennial Award recipient and a member of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund Founders Circle.

“Anytime we can better the lives and abilities of children, there is a benefit to society,” Maxwell says. “I view the Kiwanis Children’s Fund as a means to attain that end.”

Maxwell served as the executive vice president and trust officer for Kaw Valley Bank prior to his retirement. He enjoys volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, as well as serving as a merit badge counselor, past president and current member of the board of Jayhawk Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. He is also a trustee of The Topeka Shawnee County Public Library Foundation and a board member of Kaw Valley Bank.
