Robert Maxwell of Topeka, Kansas, was appointed trustee of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund in 2018. He was re-appointed as trustee for an additional three-year term beginning October 1, 2021.

Robert has served as lieutenant governor, district treasurer and governor in the Kansas District. He served two three-year terms as a Division 11 representative to the Kansas Kiwanis Foundation.

Robert is a three-time Hixson Fellow and a three-time Walter Zeller Fellow and a member of the Children’s Fund Founder’s Circle. “Anytime we can better the lives and abilities of children, there is a benefit to society,” Robert says. “I view the Kiwanis Children’s Fund as a means to attain that end.”

Robert served as the executive vice president and trust officer for Kaw Valley Bank prior to retirement. He enjoys volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, serving as a merit badge counselor and past president of Jayhawk Area Council of the Boy Scouts, and was recently appointed a Trustee of The Topeka Shawnee County Public Library Foundation.
