Step 5: Share your story

Kiwanis One Day provides clubs with a chance to draw attention to their impact on the community.

Take photos at your event, share them via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Post on Pinterest. Mention @Kiwanis to tag Kiwanis International and post action photos throughout the day. Also use the Kiwanis One Day hashtag #KiwanisOneDay in your posts.

It's always a good idea to get a person's permission before taking their photo. If you plan to use the photo for anything besides news coverage, make sure you get a signed photo release form. Here is guidance from Kiwanis International on when a photo release form is needed and when it isn't.

If you wish to send photos to be considered for Kiwanis magazine, take the photos at a camera’s highest setting in a large, high-resolution format. (Review our photo upload and story submission guidelines.)

Be sure to share your Kiwanis One Day material on your club’s social media accounts, the social media accounts of the local media, as well as your personal accounts.
