Biography:
From a Kiwanis family, I have assumed extensive Kiwanis responsibilities as well as being involved in various community activities. Professionally, I am a pharmacist who believes in service. My wife, Vickie, and I are leaders within our church. We celebrated 47 years of marriage and have three children and three grandchildren.

Why did you decide to run for office?
My Kiwanis experience and my work with Kiwanians motivates my candidacy. My visits to Kiwanis districts worldwide have motivated me to use my experience to strengthen the organization through growth, expanded service and image building. Encouragement from Kiwanians in various parts of the world also inspires my service.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
My club, district and international experience in Kiwanis as well as my desire to strengthen the international traits of Kiwanis qualifies me to listen to and serve the membership. My community involvement and my profession have also taught me how to interact and serve people. 

How will you leave your mark on Kiwanis?
My mark is only significant if Kiwanis succeeds as a worldwide advocate for children. Kiwanis’ unique position can enable us, together, to sponsor children’s educational, medical and security needs. My support of expanded club service, inclusive and welcoming membership, and the development of future leaders will be the Kiwanis legacy.

Biography:
Peter joined Kiwanis in 1987. He was a distinguished president, lieutenant governor and governor; district foundation director; Kiwanis International Foundation (Children's Fund) president; Kiwanis International trustee and is now the Kiwanis International vice president. Educated at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Cornell University, and employed as an assistant district attorney, Peter and his wife Karen have two adult children, Stephen and Cathy, and one grandchild, Samuel.

Why did you decide to run for office?
My personal life and my career in public service as a criminal prosecutor have been largely devoted to helping others, especially those in need. When I joined Kiwanis, I found a wonderful family of like-minded servant-leaders. Serving as our president-elect, and then as our Kiwanis International president, would offer an incredible opportunity to make a positive difference in so many lives!

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
I have deep experience in Kiwanis International governance, including as president of the Kiwanis Children's Fund and as a Kiwanis International trustee; a proven record of success at every level of Kiwanis leadership and in other volunteer organizations; an understanding that everything of value in Kiwanis happens at the club level; a passion for our mission; a vision for our future; and the energy and enthusiasm to go the distance for Kiwanis!

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I will provide leadership and support to grow our membership, organize new clubs, provide our clubs with the tools they need to bring value to our members, expand our service leadership programs, encourage the development of future Kiwanis leaders, partner with complementary service organizations, develop new non-dues sources of revenue, enhance our image and increase our funds for club grants.

Biography:
Since joining Kiwanis in 2001, I have held all requisite district offices through governor and currently serve as a Kiwanis International trustee where I chair the membership committee. I hold Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees and currently own and operate Alton Madison Property Management in Homestead, FL. My wife, Emilia, and I hold several philanthropy positions in Kiwanis, including Kiwanis Children’s Fund Founder’s Circle.

Why did you decide to run for office?
Service to others was instilled in me at a young age. My commitment to service was established during a 1994 meeting in New York with Mother Teresa. Her words, “if you cannot help 100, just help 1,” guide me to this day. My desire to serve others and help this organization have driven me to seek leadership positions. I believe I can help Kiwanis grow, thrive and fulfill its mission.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
My education and business background in finance, property management and small business administration provide a strong base of knowledge and practical experience that coincide with the duties of a Kiwanis International officer. I believe the combination of my life’s work with my life’s passion of serving others through Kiwanis is a strong case for my qualification to lead this organization.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I will work with all leadership to promote growth in Kiwanis and all Service Leadership Programs. I will emphasize the need to develop the next generation of leaders in the organization. Increasing our corporate partnerships will enhance non-dues related revenue and will further promote the Kiwanis brand and image. Finally, a return to focusing membership on relevant service which is the cornerstone of Kiwanis.

I currently reside in Lancaster, California, with my wife, Cheryl. We have one daughter, two sons and seven grandchildren. I am a second-generation Kiwanis member with more than 39 years of perfect attendance. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in General Business (Wyoming), Master of Arts in in Human Resources Management (Pepperdine), and Master of Business Administration with a Finance emphasis (Woodbury). I am retired after spending 28 years with the U.S. Navy and 29 years with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.

Why did you decide to run for office?
I have had a passion for service — to help those less fortunate than myself — for many years. I have never been one to stand by waiting for “the other guy” to do something. Every organization needs leaders that understand the responsibilities that come with a position of leadership. I believe in situational leadership — servant leadership. I believe I can make a positive difference for Kiwanis.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
I have vast experience and a proven record of success in Kiwanis governance at the club, district and international levels, including as president of the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation and as a Kiwanis International Trustee; a passion for our youth programs and our mission to serve the youth of the world; the energy and commitment to take our Kiwanis service to new heights.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I will provide positive leadership and hands-on involvement to our clubs and their members; ensuring clubs have the tools and confidence required to grow our membership in a sustainable manner; ensure the need for succession planning at all levels is understood and practiced; support our service leadership programs and their ideas for the future in order to keep them in the Kiwanis family.

I’m a third-generation Kiwanian with more than 31 years of membership. My wife, Sandy, and I have been married for 35 years. We have two daughters — Megan, 32, and Lauren, 30 — who are also Kiwanians. And of course, Ace “The Wonder Dog.” I have spent my entire adult life in the roofing industry and I currently sit on the board for the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Colorado.

Why did you decide to run for office?
It would be a true honor to have the opportunity to continue to advocate for the individual clubs and members of our Kiwanis. I am excited to champion the work that you all do in the name of Kiwanis and to spread the word of those good works.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
By fulfilling the levels of leadership as defined in the Kiwanis bylaws, I feel I am qualified for this position. My business acumen and history of managing a large employee base are assets that will help me to serve in this capacity. My compassion and understanding of issues at the club level will continue to guide my leadership and representation of Kiwanis both in and out of the boardroom.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
It is my hope that every Kiwanian know the importance of their work and that it is not overlooked. Biography:
Terry is a 66-year-old trial attorney. He is married to Zenda, who is a certified public accountant. Terry and Zenda have two daughters, Khali White-Ladd, 36, and Shandli Joyce, 30, and two grandsons, Liam Walter, 9 months, and Owen Arthur, 3. Both Khali and Shandli have held a variety of roles within the Kiwanis family. Terry has served in almost every Kiwanis leadership position from club committee chairman to president.

Why did you decide to run for office?
From my very first Kiwanis meeting, I felt a warmth, a camaraderie and ingenuous connection of persons drawn together in an association who enjoyed each other's company, while working for the common good. It is personally enriching to serve with people who have such selfless hearts and altruistic intentions.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
Kiwanis is a labor of love for me. My 41 years of experience within club, division and district leadership, along with attending Kiwanis International conventions and service as The Eliminate Project district coordinator, have given me the insight to understand the depth and breadth of what Kiwanis brings to the world. I have a proven record of success in every office I have held with Kiwanis, and a drive to make our future great.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
My goals are: to build solid new clubs, to utilize new club building techniques to help our existing clubs grow, to keep our clubs meaningful to our members, to aggressively use our alumni program to recruit our youth into adult clubs, to raise more revenue through third-party affinity programs instead of dues and to finish The Eliminate Project by helping districts meet their goals.

Biography:
Roger was born in Caryville, Tennessee, and raised in Walla Walla, Washington. He joined the Kiwanis Club of Yakima in 1980. He has been awarded the Ruby K Award, twice named Club Kiwanian of the year, awarded the Lee Price Award as top District Chair and Governor's Cup as top District Kiwanian. He and his wife, Tammy, have seven adult children between them and nine grandkids with two great grandkids. They live in Selah, Washington, where Roger serves on the city council.

Why did you decide to run for office?
I believe in Kiwanis and am passionate about strengthening our organization.  I also believe the individual passions of members collectively drive the strength of membership and the vitality of service for kids and communities. I understand the balance of improving membership and increasing impact-driven service and I want to continue being a leader in providing positive results in both areas.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
I have more than 40 years of community service with Kiwanis and other nonprofit organizations; more than 40 years as a leader, manager and corporate officer; I am an effective listener, a strong team builder and I know how to energize positive change. I am a distinguished past president, a two-term past lieutenant governor and a distinguished past governor.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I want to leave office with the organization being stronger in membership, having improved financial stability and with more service needs being met in our communities.  I also want to use my knowledge and experience for positive outcomes in the districts that I counsel.

My wife Becky and I live in Wooster, Ohio, and we are both members of the Kiwanis Club of Wooster. We have three grown daughters: Mandy, Tiffany and Kelly and seven grandsons. I have a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degree from The Ohio State University and Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University. I am in my sixteenth year as Superintendent of the Wayne County Schools Career Center and have served on numerous boards.

Why did you decide to run for office?
Serving as governor, I knew I wanted to run for trustee. I have devoted my adult life to making a difference for children and helping them prepare for successful futures. I currently serve or have served as Sunday school teacher, youth advisor, school teacher, director/principal, superintendent and Kiwanian. I have leadership experiences, energy, drive and communication skills to help clubs thrive, energize and innovate.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
As committee chair, board member and officer, I became a distinguished president, division chair, distinguished lieutenant governor and district chair for seven committees. As governor, our team helped elect a Kiwanis International vice president, a Circle K president, passed a dues increase, started numerous new SLP and Kiwanis clubs, raised foundation funds and revived a Past Lieutenant Governor Association in many divisions.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I plan to energize and invigorate our clubs! From building clubs, counselors to revitalize, encourage new service and signature projects and emphasizing club satellites, we can make a difference! Change without innovation is just hard work. We must learn successful strategies from other non-profits and share with our clubs, SLPs, and organization for greater engagement, branding, impact and growth!

These are great times to be a Kiwanian wherever we may live.  Whatever leadership position I may hold, I feel the responsibility to take “good” to “great.”  In the field of education our students set goals and their steps to achieve them. Taking the leadership skills I have to improve the leaders around me has always been one of my goals. This may mean changing the culture or climate in an organization that will attract a dedicated leadership team to meet the current needs of a group which can lead to success.

Why did you decide to run for office?
It is exciting to work with people to make a difference. Three areas where I see Kiwanis could make a powerful impact and difference are:  1) Children, 2) Communities and 3) Commitment.  We should focus on building our SLPs, planting new clubs, and motivating our members to grow through dedicated commitment through CLE.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
One of the main things that qualifies me for this position is the fact that I am extremely hard working and am dedicated to making organizations to which I belong succeed.  As the president, lieutenant governor and governor of Kiwanis groups, I have developed strategies that have promoted growth. I would use these proven strategies if I am elected a Kiwanis International Trustee.  I hope to use “We Believe” as the theme as we strive to make a difference.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I would work to accomplish growth in all areas of Kiwanis International where I am assigned.  I will cooperatively work with other board members and Kiwanis International staff to meet goals we collaboratively establish to make Kiwanis a strong world-wide organization. I will strive to better equip all Kiwanians to tell our story as we grow new clubs and strengthen existing ones.

Biography:
I was born in Corbin, Kentucky, and raised in West Virginia. I joined the Kiwanis Club of East Huntington in 2011 — a club which my great-grandfather was a charter member of, and which my grandfather and parents are a part of as well. I am a Key Club and Circle K alumni. I currently serve as West Virginia's Circle K Administrator and Membership Coordinator for the West Virginia Kiwanis District.

Why did you decide to run for office?
I decided to run for office to bring a younger perspective to the Kiwanis International Board, to make our organization more inviting to those younger members and to continue to make our organization inviting to all current members.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
I was a Distinguished Governor in 2017-18 and oversaw the first year of growth in six years in the West Virginia District. I will work diligently to make sure every Kiwanian feels as though their voice is heard and to bring growth to Kiwanis International as a whole.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
I hope to promote growth among our amazing organization, to inspire younger members to join Kiwanis International, to promote membership involvement at the district and Kiwanis International levels and to bridge the gap in the K-Family from Key Club/Circle K to Kiwanis.

A member of the Greater Parsippany Kiwanis Club for 28 years, Michael has served as the New Jersey district coordinator for The Eliminate Project since 2012. New Jersey is the 5th largest average per member worldwide contributor to The Eliminate Project. He is a first vice president of investments for 37 years. Married to his wife Laura of 28 years, they have 3 children, Zachary, Emily and Curtis.

Why did you decide to run for office?
To take responsibility in growing and securing the future of our great Kiwanis organization. Every community should experience the joy of knowing Kiwanis is making a difference in a child’s life.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
With passion I have served in this great Kiwanis organization. From member to current district coordinator of The Eliminate Project, I have demonstrated the ability to bring people together for a common cause, reaching a win-win for everyone. During my 37 years of financial management experience, I have built trust with clients to secure their retirement and help build a better future for their children.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?

Biography:
Michel joined the Kiwanis Club of Mont Dore in New Caledonia on May 1978 at 26 years old. His 41 years of Kiwanis service includes different leadership positions such as club president in 1982-83, lieutenant governor in 1986-87, district governor in 1992-93, ASPAC chair in 2002-03, Kiwanis International Foundation (now Kiwanis Children’s Fund) Trustee in 2002-05. He is currently KCF ambassador for the Australia and New Zealand-South Pacific Districts.

Why did you decide to run for office?
Since I has been ASPAC chair in 2002-03 and KIF (now KCF) Trustee in 2002-05, I have been attending all district, ASPAC and Kiwanis International conventions. I did have enough time to take higher position because of my business. After working for IBM as technical sales engineer, I bought a sport and surfwear business. My business now is a routine for me and I want to serve more while I still have the energy to do it.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
I was born in Tahiti, French Polynesia, where my family came from. I speak three languages: French, Tahitian and Chinese Hakka. I also learned English and Spanish in school. With my multicultural personality, I am international.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
Help Kiwanis to grow in the Asia-Pacific region. My international background is a big asset. I will help Kiwanis to be more international and more global. There is no frontier or border I’m afraid to cross. Kiwanis must evolve and meet nowadays’ way of life.

Biography:
Born in 1965, I grew up in the Dutch countryside between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Raised to continue my grandfather’s shipping company, I decided to do something completely different and began studying for real next to my daytime jobs. I became a tax lawyer, which I still am. Monique and I met in the early eighties. Being the love of my life, we married and she gave us our children, Mariska and Erik.

Why did you decide to run for office?
The world is changing whether we like it or not. With diminishing membership, Kiwanis needs to adopt to this changing circumstance. Having been governor, the time to make a difference is short. The office of trustee makes it possible to do more: to balance the needs for change, to balance who we are, and to do what we need to become to stay effective. That made my decision to run for trustee at large.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
Having been in various volunteer organizations, I learned a lot on what drives people to volunteer. Saying what you do and doing what you say is important to me, and it is important in dealings on every level of Kiwanis. My profession made it possible to meet a lot of people with various cultural backgrounds. Being able to be a bridge between those differences is important to help us serving.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
For Kiwanis, it is important to embrace change while guarding our core values. Our core values are timeless as is our goal to serve children. How we do that is different everywhere. I hope to be a bridge between those cultural differences so more and more people come to realize how important Kiwanis is and more and more people want to help Kiwanis and want to help us realize our goals.

Biography:
I have had a variety of professions throughout my life: government officer, ambassador, executive in private enterprises (I worked for 8 years in Sharp Corporation, a Japanese electronics company, CEO of a ceremony service company for 5 years, etc.). In so doing, I got equipped with a large list of diversified and reliable friends. I also learned the way to run an organization effectively.

Why did you decide to run for office?
The Japan District has been successful in establishing new clubs recently. We depend upon human networks between big cities and local cities. Many members in Tokyo are experienced in working in local cities and maintain business and private networks. We compare notes on “signature projects” and witness many cases where one club introduces another club’s project. Let me speak about our experiences.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
My vast, diversified experiences in the international arena gave me talents to easily intermingle with various people all over the world. I have led many organizations in different fields in order to attain their aims. I have occupied leading chairs of a Kiwanis club. I am determined to contribute to expanding clubs and activities of Kiwanis, making full use of my talents cultivated in the past.

What do you hope to accomplish during your term in office?
By exchanging information on activities of Kiwanis districts all over the world, we can find new ways and means to expand the Kiwanis world. It includes having Kiwanis nations reach district status and to expand the numbers of our clubs and members. There is more room for SLP expansion. We should explore new wisdom to that effect. Helping them to intermingle themselves is one example.

Biography:
I have been a member in Kiwanis for 30 years. I am proud of organizing 11 clubs as a new club builder and then organizing eight clubs during my term as governor. It gives me joy to help the less fortunate children.

Why did you decide to run for office?
When the position was vacated by the death of Cheng Lian Teh, who was my classmate during my governorship, it came to my mind that the timing is right.

What qualifies you to become an officer of Kiwanis International?
I am a leader of other organizations, such as the president of the Home Owners and the president of the District Engineers League Regional Chapter. I believe I am able to carry out the duties of the Kiwanis International Board of Trustees.

As an experienced club builder, I am focusing on membership growth and to support the worldwide service of Kiwanis International.
