Wilkins_Ann (2019)“Ann loved Kiwanis. She loved the fellowship, and she loved the mission. She cared deeply about children and worked with the Children’s Fund board to amplify Kiwanis’ impact around the world – especially through its efforts to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus,” said Pam Norman, chief philanthropy officer of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund.

Wilkins was honored as a George F. Hixson Fellow and as a Mother’s Day Walter Zeller Fellow, and she received the Kiwanis Leadership Society award.

“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Ann on the board. Her leadership was matched only by her compassion and caring for Kiwanis and helping children,” said Bob Garretson, 2021-22 Kiwanis Children’s Fund president. “She was such a kind and warm person. We will all miss her dearly.”

In addition to working with Kiwanis, Wilkins has been president and vice president of the Cherokee County Civic Cultural Center in Tahlequah, president of the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce and a chamber ambassador.
