Little things can mean a lot. That’s why it’s important to update your club’s social media channels often, with engaging posts and images. It seems like a little thing — it's just Facebook or Twitter — but that’s where our audience is and that’s where we need to be. 

How long has it been since your club updated its social media pages? What kind of updates are there? If you’re simply using your pages to post meeting times and a list of speakers, or a callout for new committee members, you’re missing an opportunity. That’s all great information for club members, but it won’t entice community members to join your club. 

If someone wants to learn more about your club, it’s likely they’ll start on social media. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and even YouTube and Vimeo are popular sites where you can share information and photos or videos about your club’s great projects and best stories. 

So it’s time to beef up your content and update your look. Here’s how: 

  • If you’re not sure what to do, start here with the basics.  
  • Stay current with a custom logo
  • Need photos? Use these resources
  • Make sure your images are the right size with our guide
  • Want even more? Use some of our posts

    This is all great information. But there’s more. Be sure to update your social channels at least three times a week. Respond quickly to comments and questions on social. If someone is interested in joining, reach out and invite them to a meeting or project. And it might seem obvious, but yes, you should list your club’s meeting time and location as well as upcoming events.
