Children in North Carolina thank Kiwanis

Steven Hadt | Nov 06, 2018

Nearly 15 adult and youth clubs worked together this past October to help children displaced from their North Carolina homes by Hurricane Florence. The clubs used more than US$30,000 in disaster grant money from the Kiwanis Children's Fund, the Carolinas District and other sources to buy new coats, blankets, food and cleaning supplies. About a dozen boxes of supplies were taken to kids at a Lumberton, North Carolina, elementary school. Social workers will work with the clubs to get more kids the supplies they need.
