Tour a Landscape Structures Playground

Bring your play clothes and take a field trip with Landscape Structures to an amazing playground near Denver. Sign up through your confirmation email for one of 50 spots. Transportation and lunch are provided.

Welcome Reception and Membership Fair

4-6 p.m.
Explore the Kiwanis Marketplace while connecting with friends. New this year is the Membership Fair. Pick up tips from clubs that have been recognized for their efforts at growing through Two for Two, club boosts, open houses, guest days or their own unique membership drives.

 

THURSDAY, JULY 4

Signature Project Breakfast

7:30-9 a.m.
Celebrate the best of the best Kiwanis signature projects. The top 10 finalists in each group will be recognized — and then the gold, silver and bronze awards will be announced. (Ticketed event)

2024 Kiwanis Convention Kickoff

9:30-11 a.m.
Start your convention experience with the pageantry, recognition and celebration of Kiwanis. The opening session features Chris Singleton, a former professional baseball player who was 18 when his mother died in a racially-motivated mass killing. He has dedicated his life to sharing his message of love over hate.

Build a Little Free Library

11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Sign up for one of 25 spots to help build Little Free Libraries as gifts for communities in the host Rocky Mountain District. Sign-up is available in your confirmation email. No tools or experience necessary. (Also available 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday)

You will learn accountability strategies that will help your club stay on track to achieve results. This workshop is presented at the club level, but the concepts are transferable to divisions and districts.

Colorado Rockies baseball game

7 p.m.
The free tickets to the July 4 Colorado Rockies have been claimed by the first 1,000 convention registrants! Those lucky attendees will receive an email in June from the Colorado Rockies with information about accessing their tickets. (Remember, there is no transportation to or from the game.)

Kiwanis Launchpad: Embracing Change
10-11:30 a.m.
Explore what’s possible when you and your club embrace change by attending the Kiwanis Launchpad speaker series. Learn from internationally known speakers how to create lifelong, loyal club members and incorporate new ideas to help your club soar. Kiwanis Launchpads are short, high-impact and sure to leave you filled with ideas to implement at home.

Kiwanis SLP Showcase of Service Luncheon

Join us for a dose of inspiration as we celebrate our Service Leadership Programs: K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club International, Circle K International and Aktion Club. Risk Manager Gathering
Meet with other risk managers to get important updates and share ideas.

SLP Advisor Bootcamp
This session will provide SLP advisors with fresh insight into program changes in Kiwanis SLPs. Advisors will learn the best practices from all programs on how to move ideas into action. Leave with a roadmap to success for the upcoming school year.

District Leadership Planning Summit
Governors, governors-elect, vice governors and candidates for governor-elect work collaboratively to create three-year growth and retention plans. Through the summit, leaders come away with goals that span multiple years.

Club Membership Chair Huddle

Discover mobile payment services — alternative methods for collecting member dues more efficiently. Current users of Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle and automatic payments share how the platforms work, best practices for clubs and billing processes.

Tough Conversations
During this rapid-fire (and fun!) skill-building presentation, Anne Bonney will ignite your courage to conduct difficult discussions. Learn how to start the dialogue, keep the exchange constructive and rescue the conversation if it takes a wrong turn.

Club Stories: Club Revitalization
How can Kiwanis clubs revitalize themselves when membership stagnates and interest runs low? Texas-Oklahoma District Governor-elect Bobby Quinten will share the strategy that his home club, the Kiwanis Club of Mansfield, used to rebuild successfully after a dramatic membership drop in 2020.

“Never. Ever. Give. Up.” These are the words Diana Nyad spoke to a cheering crowd after becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida. A prominent sports journalist, filing over 30 years for National Public Radio, The New York Times and others, Nyad has earned her place as one of our compelling storytellers. The subject of “NYAD” — a feature film starring Annette Bening and Jodie Foster – she will inspire you to keep reaching for your goals.

Join us for a celebratory breakfast as we launch our first-ever fundraiser solely supporting the Kiwanis community and the children we serve. Discover the possibilities in supporting the Kiwanis Children’s Fund: Hear from a distinguished speaker, honor special Kiwanians for their support and dedication, and discover how we can impact 10 million children globally. 2024 Kiwanis Annual Meeting

8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Get informed about the business of Kiwanis International and add your voice to our future. Delegates from clubs around the world will elect the organization’s next leaders and vote on amendments.

Kiwanis Dancing Through the Decades Gala

7-10 p.m.
Make sure to pack an outfit that reflects your favorite decade! Whether its go-go boots or platform heels, you’ll want to wear your dancing shoes to the closing-night gala featuring Your Generation in Concert™. This eight-piece band performs songs from five generations of pop, rock, dance and R&B hits. (Ticketed event)
