Legacy of Play contest

Kiwanis International, in partnership with Landscape Structures Inc., is offering the ninth annual Legacy of Play contest, which launches Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

The contest will award one Kiwanis club US$25,000 in playground equipment to be used toward a Landscape Structures playground project. As a long-time Kiwanis partner, Landscape Structures understands the importance of bringing play to all children and can help create an inclusive play environment that welcomes all children and families to serve your community for decades.

Even better, any club that enters the Legacy of Play contest and continues its project plans with Landscape Structures will receive a complimentary ReviWheel™ Spinner, ReviWhirl™ Spinner or ReviRock™ Bouncer, all of which were designed with inclusion in mind.

Possible additional funding

  • The Kiwanis Children’s Fund provides grants for Kiwanis-led service projects that focus on health, education and youth leadership development. Clubs interested in applying for a grant for a playground project should review the program material carefully to learn about the Children’s Fund as a potential funding partner. Check out the Club Grant program for eligibility requirements, important dates and additional resources.
  • Building, updating and maintaining a playground takes money — but several organizations across the country offer grants that allocate funds for playground projects. Landscape Structures Inc. can help you find them. LSI itself does not directly provide playground grants, but the company has curated online grant resources with national, state and regional organizations that offer grant funding for commercial entities. Request access to the grant resources here.
