Gary Jander

Gary Jander of San Diego, California, U.S., was elected to a three-year term as a trustee of Kiwanis International during the 2022 Kiwanis International Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 8-11. He will serve as a trustee for the United States and Pacific Canada regions of Kiwanis.

A member of Kiwanis since 2000. He also served as club president last year and in the 2005-06 Kiwanis year. In addition, he has served as a Distinguished governor and as lieutenant governor of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District.

As a financial supporter of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, Jander has twice received the Walter Zeller Fellowship. He has also been vice president of the California-Nevada-Hawaii Kiwanis Children’s Fund.

The owner of a nationally ranked law firm and a nationally recognized probate attorney, Jander is also founder and president-emeritus of Probate Attorneys of San Diego. With Kiwanis, he has strived to fulfill his belief that Kiwanis International needs people who have proven leadership skills to volunteer for leadership positions. He has formed new clubs, served as an informal club coach for the last 10 years and participated in various Kiwanis International membership programs.

Jander values collaboration and servant leadership. Trained in organizational compliance and governance, he hopes to work with Kiwanis International trustees and engage in civil discussions about the best ways to help Kiwanis adapt to a changing world in order to better serve children — and to focus on the idea of serving one world with one mission.

Jander has two children with his wife, Donna, who is a member and past president of the Kiwanis Youth Development and Support Club of San Diego. She is also a former district administrator for Key Leader.
