Mohan Lamsal
Mohan Lamsal of Kathmandu, Nepal, was elected to a three-year term as a trustee of Kiwanis International during the 2023 Kiwanis International Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S. He serves as a trustee at large.
A member of Kiwanis since 2016, Lamsal is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Kathmandu and the Kiwanis Club of Peace. He is a past president of the Kathmandu club.
He also served as governor of the Nepal District during the 2020-21 Kiwanis year. During his year as governor, 36 new clubs opened in Nepal. In 2022, Lamsal was recognized by Kiwanis International with the Distinguished Governor Award and the 100 Members Growth Award. He has also provided orientation, training and education regarding member retention to clubs.
Lamsal holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and owns a travel agency, which he established in 1998. Outside of Kiwanis, he enjoys travel, adventure tourism and mountaineering, and he is currently general secretary of the Nepal Mountaineering Association. Lamsal has two sons with his wife, Shila, who is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Empower Nepal.
