Governance & Finances for Clubs and Districts

Every Kiwanis club is part of a larger organization — operating under shared bylaws, policies and financial standards that protect volunteers and the kids you serve. This section gives clubs and districts the foundational documents needed to operate effectively.

Kiwanis governance covers club bylaws and the standard form for amending them, district bylaws and procedures, Kiwanis International policies and committee structures including roles and responsibilities. Financial guidance for clubs includes annual dues structure, budgeting templates for clubs and districts, audit and financial review procedures, tax-status documentation including 501(c)(3) information for U.S. clubs, and information about treasurer responsibilities and reporting expectations.

For district leadership, additional resources cover the relationship between districts and Kiwanis International, the role of the lieutenant governor and district secretary, and procedures for district conventions, elections and board meetings.

Whether your club is renewing its leadership, preparing for an audit, updating bylaws or onboarding a new treasurer, members can log in for the full library of governance documents, financial templates, and policy references.
